Phase 2 Consultation on Planning Reform and Transfer to Local Government: Proposals for Subordinate Legislation

The Department issued the second phase of a two-phased public consultation exercise on 31 October 2014 which set out proposals to introduce improvements in the planning process and establish a new two-tier planning system in Northern Ireland.  This consultation ended on Wednesday, 31 December 2014.
The proposals set out in the consultation document related to the subordinate legislation amendments important for the introduction of reforms to the planning system and the transfer of responsibility for the majority of planning functions to the new district councils in April 2015.
Below are links to the consultation paper and associated documents that issued in October 2014.  Also included is a copy of the Department's response to those comments received during the consultation period.
