10.1 Certain developments fall within the scope of the Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations (NI) 1999. Environmental Impact Assessment is mandatory for projects listed in Schedule 1 to the Regulations. Projects listed in Schedule 2 will require assessment if they meet or exceed the thresholds set out in that Schedule or are located in a “sensitive area”.
