Publication of Draft Design Guidance for Holywood Conservation Area

The Department of the Environment, in pursuance of powers conferred upon it by Article 50 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991, designated part of Holywood as a Conservation Area in May 2004, as it is considered to be of special architectural or historic interest, the character of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance.

The Department, in addition to the Holywood Conservation Area booklet produced at the time of designation, is now publishing draft detailed design guidance for the Holywood Conservation Area for public comment. The Draft Design Guidance document can be downloaded from this web page or is available free of charge from the Divisional Planning Office, by telephone: (028) 4461 8000,
