Processing Applications: The Decision Notice
Further to full consideration of a planning application, planning permission will either be granted or refused
Following consultation with the local Council, and provided that the application has not been deferred, a decision notice will issue to the agent or alternatively the applicant in the case that no agent has been noted. This will state whether planning permission has been granted or refused.
Where planning permission is granted, conditions of approval will be stipulated on the decision notice. e.g. a time condition stating when the development must be commenced by.
Where planning permission has been refused the reason(s) for refusal will be stated.
If planning permission has been refused or a condition attached to a planning approval which the applicant feels is unreasonable notice, an appeal may be made to the Planning Appeals Commission .
