Appealing a decision
Who may appeal?
Appeals to the Planning Appeals Commission may only be made by or on behalf of the person who made application for planning permission or other approval.
There is currently no 'third party' right of appeal against a planning decision. This means that objectors or other parties who may have an interest in the proposal cannot make an appeal if they are unhappy about the decision.
Appeals are heard by the Planning Appeals Commission. When an application is appealed, objectors to that proposal can make representations to the Planning Appeals Commission.
