Nuisance High Hedges:
Have Your Say
This consultation closed on 26th October 2005. A summary of findings report has been published on 27th April 2006.

The Department of the Environment will be carrying out a consultation, beginning in August 2005, to assess the scale and geographical spread of problems with nuisance high hedges in Northern Ireland.  The aim will be to obtain as representative and widespread a response as possible to enable the Minister to decide whether legislation is needed to address this issue.

Should it be decided on the findings of the consultation that legislation is required, a policy consultation paper on proposed legislation is expected to be published before Christmas 2005.

You are invited, at this early stage, to register your interest in this matter by completing the attached form which will enable the Department to add you to its mailing list for the consultation paper in August.
