Background
Moy is located in south-eastern Tyrone, eight kilometres from Dungannon and eleven kilometres from Armagh City, on the old coaching route between these two towns.The Conservation Area consists of the Diamond, a long rectangular market place that still retains much of its original character and charm and is dominated by St James Parish church; part of Killyman Street and Charlemont Street.

The buildings included in the Area consist mainly to two and three-storey terraced properties dating from the late 18th to the 19th century, a number of which are good examples of Georgian town house and of considerable individual merit.
