Background
Moneymore is located seven kilometres north east of Cookstown and eight kilometres south west of Magherafelt. The most significant visual feature of the Conservation Area is the ever-changing backdrop of hills around the town which can be viewed from almost all locations and which emphasises the siting of the town.
Major townscape features such as High Street can be closely associated with the local topography and derive their distinctiveness from the local lie of the land. Each street has its major physical feature which draws the eye and enhances the view.
