Enniskillen Conservation Area

Location: Co. Fermanagh
Designation date: 11 March 1988

Background

Enniskillen Conservation AreaEnniskillen Town Centre as we know it today originates largely from the late 18th and 19th centuries.
The main thoroughfare has a unique character in townscape terms which remains relatively unscathed by unsympathetic forms of modern development despite the fact that the area around the central core has altered significantly as a result of clearance and road schemes.
