The Role of Development Plans
6.1 The preparation of a development plan provides an opportunity to consider the direct and indirect flood risks that may affect the plan area. The Department will therefore work closely with the Rivers Agency
on this matter and liaise with other interested bodies such as the Environment and Heritage Service
where appropriate.
