Strategic Plan Framework: Settlements Regional Policy Context

The Spatial Development Strategy of the Regional Development Strategy (RDS) provides a framework for the future physical development of the Region based on urban hubs and clusters, key and link transport corridors and the main regional gateways of ports and airports. It seeks to reinforce main and local hubs, adopt a sub-regional approach to the clustering of urban centres, and to sustain a vibrant rural community.
