Strategic Plan Framework: Settlements Public Investment in the Public Realm

Since 1980 there has been considerable public investment in the public spaces of all of the towns within the Plan area. There remain, however, areas of public realm that would benefit from major refurbishment within the lifetime of the Plan. The implementation of these schemes will be dependent on the availability of finance, with the potential for a range of possible funding sources including, on occasions, the private sector.
