The following Historic Parks, Gardens and Demesnes are designated.
Designation LHPG: Historic Parks, Gardens and Demesnes
The following Historic Parks, Gardens and Demesnes of special historic interest are designated as identified on Maps No.s 4/03 and 4/58 – 4/60:
  1. Bellarena (Map No. 4/58)
  2. Drenagh (Map No. 4/59)
  3. Knockan and Ash Park (Map No. 4/60)
  4. Walworth (Map No. 4/03)

The Historic Parks, Gardens and Demesnes of Special Historic Interest listed above will be detailed in a register of Historic Parks, Gardens and Demesnes of Special Historic Interest in Northern Ireland to be published by the Environment and Heritage Service, DOE. The Register will summarise the historical significance of the site and the contribution its planned features make to the local landscape. It will also seek to encourage the public and owners, to value and support the protection and maintenance of such sites.
Bellarena was founded in the mid 17th century. It is located on the River Roe. Drenagh dates from the early 18 th century. The Castle River runs to the south of the house , while the Curly River runs to the north and east. Knockan and Ash Park incorporate gardens which are privately owned. The house at Knockan was founded in the late 18th century. Walworth was established in the early 17th century. The site is privately owned.
