Central Area: Open Space/Recreation

The Central Area contains the City’s most important and extensive urban park areas at Brooke Park and St. Columb’s Park. Control of development in these areas will be subject to Policy R1 (see Section 10). Brooke Park is included within the Department’s Register of Historic Gardens, Parks and Demesnes and development proposals here must also satisfy Policy BE 10 (see Map HG3 Appendix 4 and Map 3).
