Craigavon Town Centre Boundaries and Retail Designations Plan 2010
Plan Context: Local Supplementary Planning Guidance
Local Supplementary Planning Guidance
Lurgan Conservation Area - Much of the centre of Lurgan was designated as a Conservation Area on 15 June 2004. The Lurgan Conservation Area Designation and Guidance document supplements relevant policies contained in PPS 6: Planning, Archaeology and The Built Heritage, and is intended for all those with an interest in the area or those intending to undertake work on its buildings, landscape, streets or spaces.
Applicants seeking planning consent for proposals within the Conservation Area should be able to demonstrate how they have taken this guidance into account, including the appraisal of the Conservation Area and how their proposals will contribute to its preservation or enhancement.
The focus of the Lurgan THI Scheme (THI) is to regenerate the historic core of Lurgan, enhance the image and condition of buildings, bring historic floorspace back into use and to make the town more attractive to residents and visitors. To this end the Scheme identifies a number of target sites within the Lurgan Conservation Area, to which the available funding will be directed.
