The settlement development limit is designated to take account of land with extant planning permission for housing and sites that have not yet been approved but are at a stage in the planning application process where there is a reasonable expectation that planning approval will be granted.

The compact form of this settlement, which centres around St. Oliver Plunkett’s RC Church, has been retained while making provision for a limited amount of development appropriate to its role. The settlement comprises a number of dwellings along Roxborough Road, the church and the community centre.
