Cafe owner fined for unauthorised signage

A Londonderry man has been fined for displaying advertisements in contravention of the Planning Regulations.
Mr James Spring Sexton of 350 Clooney Road, Ballykelly, owner of Yankee Café pleaded guilty and was fined £200 with costs of £86 on 16th April 2009 at Derry Magistrates Court.
The Planning Service brought the action under Article 84 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 for displaying the advertisements on a lorry which sat along a roadside.
