Co. Tyrone Man Fined £10,000 for non-compliance with a Planning Enforcement Notice

A County Tyrone man pleaded guilty and was fined a total of £10,000 with £85 costs at Dungannon Magistrates' Court on Monday 12 September 2011 for non-compliance with a Department of the Environment Planning Enforcement Notice.
Mr Jack Ferguson, Sherrygrim Road, Stewartstown, was issued with a Material Change of Use Notice seeking cessation in the use of the above address for vehicle sales and removing all vehicles for sale from the site.
The Department brought the action under Article 72 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 (as amended) as is procedure where an enforcement notice is not complied with.
