Newtownabbey Man Fined £1000 for Non-compliance with Enforcement Notice

A Newtownabbey man has been fined £1000 as well as £75 court costs and £10 summons costs at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on 2nd November 2010 for non-compliance with a Planning Service Enforcement Notice.
Mr Arthur Magill of Sallybush Road, Newtownabbey was charged in relation to the unauthorised use of land south west of 31 Sallybush Road, Newtownabbey which included the importation and storage of controlled waste and an unauthorised structure at the same address.
Planning Service brought the charges under Article 67A 1(a) of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 as amended, namely carrying out development without the planning permission required.
