Mr Edward Arthur Taylor (38), secretary and director of "Floors-2-Go plc" was fined £100 yesterday in Londonderry Magistrates' Court.
"Floors-2-Go" submitted an application for the retention of their shop sign on 4 December 2006, but this application did not address all the signage on the building or the forecourt of the premises.
The Planning Service brought the action under Article 84 of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991.
Mr Taylor was fined £100, £70 costs and £16 court costs.
