Nesbitt Announces Planning Permission For Major Development At Belfast International Airport

Environment Minister, Mr Dermot Nesbitt, MLA, today announced notice of opinion to grant planning permission for major development at Belfast International Airport.
He has given approval for the Genesis Business Park at Belfast International Airport.
Mr Nesbitt said: "This proposal includes the potential for business and light industrial units, call centres and serviced offices. It will capitalise on the employment potential of Belfast International Airport.
"The application also includes improvements to facilities at the airport for maintenance, cargo handling and distribution. Full implementation of the development will require major improvements to roads in the Antrim area."
Referring to the benefits for Northern Ireland as a whole Mr Nesbitt said: "This is significant investment in Northern Ireland. It will bring considerable benefits in terms of employment opportunities and improved facilities."
