Lurgan man fined £10,000 for a planning offence

A Co Armagh man was today fined £10,000 at Craigavon Magistrates' Court for continuing to fail to comply with a Planning Service Enforcement Notice.
Mr Raymond Pedlow of Annesborough Road, Lurgan, was also ordered to pay court costs of £74 and solictors fees of £75.
The original enforcement notice required the removal of an unauthorised shed and hardcored area on land adjacent to 66 Annesborough Road, Lurgan.
Planning Service brought the charge under Article 67A 1(a) of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 ,as amended, namely carrying out development without the planning permission required.
