EGLINTON WOMAN FINED £2,000 FOR PLANNING OFFENCE
A Co Londonderry woman was today fined £2,000 plus costs totalling £89 at Londonderry Magistrates’ Court for failure to comply with a Planning Service Enforcement Notice.
The Enforcement Notice required the removal of an unauthorised rear extension at 42 Roulston Avenue, Londonderry.
Following refusal of the original planning application in 2004, an enforcement case was opened after a Planning Service Development Control officer found that works had started without approval. Enforcement notices were then served in 2006.
NOTES TO EDITOR
Planning Service brought the charge under Article 72 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991- An offence where an enforcement notice is not complied with.
