Londonderry man fined £300 for unauthorised signage

A County Londonderry man was fined a total of £300 plus £70 court costs and £28 summons costs at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court on 7th May 2010.
Mr Ricardo Alavijeh of Portstewart Road, Coleraine was charged with 6 counts of displaying unauthorised signage at the premises of 14 Portstewart Road, Coleraine and was fined £50 for each offence.
Planning Service brought about the charges under Article 84 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991, (as amended), which states it is an offence to display an advertisement without consent.
