Fermanagh man fined £5,000 for Planning offence

A Fermanagh man was fined £5,000 plus £75 court costs at Enniskillen Magistrates' Court today for failing to comply with a DOE Planning Enforcement Notice.
Mr Gerard Rasdale was found guilty of failing to comply with the Enforcement Notice which required him to remove a building and storage yard from land at Cavancarragh, Holywell, Belcoo.
This was a second offence for the continued non-compliance with the Enforcement Notice. His initial court appearance on 13 January 2010 had resulted in a fine of £1,500 plus £85 costs.
Planning brought the action under Article 67(A) 1(a) of The Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991.
