Fine for breach of TPO

A Co Down man was today fined a total of £500, £250 Department costs and £20 court costs at Banbridge Magistrates' Court which was sitting at Newry Magistrates' Court for the breach of a Planning Service Tree Preservation Order.
Mr Dennis Rice of Weavers Meadow, Banbridge, pleaded guilty to the removal of two trees at Brookfield House, Banbridge and was fined £250 for each tree.

1. Planning Service brought the action under Article 66 of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 (as amended) and relates to the removal of two number trees protected by a TPO - Tree Preservation Order.
