Armagh Man Pleads Guilty to Non-compliance with Enforcement Notice

An Armagh man pleaded guilty to non-compliance with a Planning Service Enforcement Notice at Armagh Magistrates Court on 15th October 2010 and was fined £2000 and ordered to pay £75 solicitors costs as well as paying £20 court costs.
Mr Leon Murtagh of Premier Saddlery, 17 Terraskane Road, Armagh was served an Operational Development notice as he had erected an unauthorised building for the operation of a saddlery business on land at 17 Terraskane Road, Armagh. Planning Service issued an Enforcement Notice under Article 68(1) (a) of the Planning (NI) Order 1991, as amended (Breach of Planning Control).
Legal action was then taken under article 72 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991, as amended (non-compliance with an enforcement notice)
