Ardboe man fined £7,000 for non-compliance with a Planning Enforcement Notice

A County Tyrone man was fined a total of £7,000 with £39 costs at Dungannon Magistrates' Court on Monday 12 September 2011 for non-compliance with a Department of the Environment Planning Enforcement Notice.
Mr Fergal O'Neill of Killycanavan Road, Ardboe, had erected three unauthorised units at lands to the rear of 17 Killycanavan Road, Ardboe. On the 30th June 2010, Mr O'Neill was fined £15,000 for similar offences.
The Department brought the action under Article 72 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 (as amended) as is procedure where an enforcement notice is not complied with.
