Ardboe man fined £15,000 for non-compliance with an enforcement notice

A Co Tyrone man was today fined £15,000 plus £101 court and legal costs at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court for failing to comply with a Planning Service Enforcement Notice.
Mr Fergal O'Neill of Killycanavan Road, Ardboe, was required to remove unauthorised buildings, namely terrace dwellings in the open countryside, at a site to the rear of 17 Killycanavan Road, Ardboe.
Planning Service brought the charges under Article 67A 1(a) of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 as amended, namely carrying out development without the planning permission required.
