Fine for unauthorised storage of pipes

A man and wife were fined £3,000 each plus costs at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on the 09th November 2009 for failing to remove plastic pipes and associated materials from a farmland at 82 Murley Road Fivemiletown.
Mr John and Mrs Jennifer Crawford of 80 Newpark Road Dromore Co. Tyrone, were convicted for not complying with an Enforcement Notice which required them to cease the use of the land for the storage of plastic pipes and associated materials. Furthermore, the Department also required the removal of the hard core and topsoil and reseed the land, none of which were completed in the timeframe specified.
