Draft Magherafelt Area Plan 2015: Departmental Statements

Publication of updated information following the first pre-Independent Examination meeting on 27/08/08
The first pre-Examination meeting on the Draft Magherafelt Area Plan was held on 27 August 2008. At the meeting, the Planning Service agreed to update its position by a statement on its website in respect of the following matters:
- The implications of the uplift in the Housing Growth Indicator for the District following adjustments to the Regional Development Strategy;
- The status of the Road Proposal MT 26, the Eastern Bypass, and how this affects the draft Plan proposals for the eastern side of Magherafelt; and
- The status of the Transportation Scheme, Designation COU 13, for the upgrading and dualling of the A6 between Toome and Castledawson
As agreed the Planning Service has now prepared statements on the above and published them on its Website.
