Key Legislation in The Planning System

In this part of the website you will find references to some of the main pieces of planning legislation that apply in Northern Ireland and relevant amendments.

Links are provided to the legislation section of the Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) website. These links allow you to view the legislation as it was made except for the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 where the link is to an updated version on the UK Statue Law Database (which, although taking account of amendments to the date shown, will not reflect the current legislative position).

For some older pieces of legislation not held on the OPSI website, a link is provided to The Stationery Office (TSO) online bookshop where the legislation can be purchased. To view more complete lists of Northern Ireland primary and subordinate planning legislation click on the related links.
