Directions

Directions are legally binding authorised statements given by the Department under enabling provisions set out in legislation directing that something is so. For example, under Article 11(2)(f) of the Planning Order 1991 demolition of any description of building specified in a direction given by the Department is not to be taken to involve the development of land.
