Sites of Local Nature Conservation Importance and Areas of
Constraint on Mineral Developments
The Magherafelt Area Plan 2015 is a development plan being
prepared under the provisions of Part III of the Planning
(NI) Order 1991. Following the publication of
the Magherafelt Area Plan 2015 Draft Plan in April 2004, the
Department invited representations and objections over a 6
week period ending on 9 June 2004.
It has come to light that a number of individual maps
relating to Sites of Local
Nature Conservation Importance and Area of Constraint on
Mineral Developments
shown on Map No. 1 – Countryside in the Draft Plan were
inadvertently omitted from
Part 3 of the Plan.
These Maps are numbered 26, 27, 30, 31, 34, 35, 38 and 39
and relate to Sites
of Local Nature Conservation Importance and Area of
Constraint on Mineral Developments at Derrynoyd
Bridge,Derrynoyd Wood, Drumard Water, Drumbally Hill,
Drumlamph Road, Drumlamph Wood, Fallylea and Glenviggan Bog.
Copies of these maps can be viewed online from the
