Latest news about the Plan

The Craigavon Area Plan 2010 is a development plan prepared by the Planning Service under the provisions of Part III of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991. The Craigavon Area Plan 2010, sets out a policy framework and land use proposals to guide development decisions within Craigavon Borough up to 2010. The Plan Proposals are a material consideration in the determination of planning applications.

Following a Public Inquiry into the relevant objections received to the Draft Craigavon Area Plan 2010, the Planning Appeals Commission reported to the Department on its consideration of the objections.

The recommendations contained in the report by the Commission have been fully considered by the Department in finalising the outcome of the objections and the consequent revisions to the Plan. Full details of the Department’s response to the Commission’s recommendations are set out in the Craigavon Area Plan 2010 Adoption Statement.

In the case of any contradiction between the Development Plan published on paper and the digital version of the Development Plan presented on this Website, the provisions of the Development Plan published on paper will prevail.
