The list can be searched to enable viewing of individual representations. The list includes some basic details about each representation which may assist in the search. Please note that where a reference number is missing then no representation exists for that number.

Search Representations

Advice for Searching Representations

The details included in the list only provide a general indication of issues raised and it is therefore recommended that each letter is read in full. In searching, details such as the following can be used;

• Settlement (e.g. Newry; Banbridge; Killeen; Mullaghbane etc.)
• Plan proposal reference (e.g. NY 01; NC 02; HSG 1 etc.) There should be a space between the letters and numbers.
• Topic Reference (e.g. green belt; countryside policy area; retail; industry etc.)
• It is advisable to search using a number of variations in terminology e.g. settlement limit or development limit.
• If searching for designation reference numbers (e.g. COU 1 or IND 1) it is recommended to use the “Exact Phrase” option.
• It should be noted that where the “details” column refers to “Multi Issue” this is generally where issues are too numerous to list and are therefore not individually identifiable without reading the representation.

Submission of Counter Objections

The Department is now inviting representations about objections, known as counter objections, to the Draft Plan. These counter objections must be submitted in writing or by electronic communication, in accordance with The Planning (Electronic Communications) Order (NI) 2006, to the address below and received no later than 4.30pm on Tuesday 21st August 2007.

Anyone making representations about an objection may also ask to be notified of the Department’s decision in writing at such address as they specify. It should also be noted that such written representations will be available for public inspection and may be referred to at any forthcoming independent examination.

Representations concerning letters of support for the Draft Plan are not invited and cannot be considered at any forthcoming independent examination.
