Archive News: Publication of the Draft Plan Revision

The Banbridge / Newry and Mourne Area Plan 2015 Draft Plan was prepared under Part 111 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 and was published in August 2006. Anyone who wished to make a representation including objections to any of the policies or proposals contained in the Draft Plan was invited to do so in writing before 17 October 2006.

Following the publication of the Draft Plan a number of mapping errors have become apparent with regard to Map No.3/01c Newry & Mourne District – East. These errors relate to the definition of the boundaries of the following designations in the Draft Plan:

• Designation NC06: Mourne Countryside Policy Area
• Designation NC09: Mournes Special Countryside Policy Area
• Designation NC11: Coastal Policy Area

These errors have been rectified and the Department is now publishing a Draft Plan Revision consisting of a revised statement and revised Map No.3/01c Newry & Mourne District – East. The revised map will supersede the original map published in August 2006. Due to the large file size of the revised map it is not available to view on line.
