    Archived News: Objecting to the Draft Plan

    Anyone wishing to make representations including objections to any of the Plan Proposals contained in the Draft Plan 2015 should do so in writing to the Banbridge / Newry & Mourne Area Plan Team at the address below. It should be noted that all such written comments will be made available for public inspection.

    All representations must be received no later than 4.30pm on
    Tuesday 17 October 2006
    otherwise they cannot be taken into consideration.

    All objections should explain the nature of the objection and should clearly identify the element(s) of the Draft Plan to which they refer including any specific Plan Proposals.  Any objections which relate to individual sites or locations, or suggest changes to the Draft Plan, should be accompanied by an Ordnance Survey map showing details of the relevant site, location, or suggested change.

    Anyone making an objection may also ask to be notified of the Department’s decision in writing at such address as they specify.

    Depending on the nature and content of the objections received, the Department may request the Planning Appeals Commission to hold a public examination for the purpose of considering objections.  Any such public examination will be advertised in due course.
