Latest News about the Plan: Judicial Review Withdrawn

It was announced in the High Court on 9 June 2008 that the judicial challenge to the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the draft Banbridge / Newry & Mourne Area Plan 2015 has been withdrawn.

Planning Service now intend to request that the Planning Appeals Commission (PAC) undertake an Independent Examination under Article 7 of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991, as amended, into objections to the Draft Plan.

The PAC will in due course be notifying all objectors and counter-objectors of the arrangements for the Independent Examination.
