This area comprises a small, coherent and largely intact part of Moneyreagh Village, where the eighteenth and nineteenth century principal institutional buildings are located together with three of the larger and older dwellings.

A sense of place is derived from the relationship between the buildings on the eastern side of the road and the more recently formed square opposite on the western side.
