Responsibility for the provision of educational facilities in Moneyreagh rests with the South Eastern Education and Library Board Area (SEELB), the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools (CCMS) and the Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education (NICIE).

The South Eastern Education and Library Board (SEELB) is responsible for library provision in Castlereagh Borough and provides five mobile libraries which serve Castlereagh, North Down and Lisburn council areas.

Community Facilities

There is one community centre located within the village and there are 4 youth organisations operating out of various venues within the village, including church halls and youth centres.

Policy CF2 in Part 3, Volume 1 of the Plan facilitates the provision of further education, community or cultural facilities during the Plan period.
