Local Landscape Policy Areas (LLPAs)

A LLPA BKN 02 is designated as identified on Map No. 5a – Ballyknockan and clarification Map No. 5b – Ballyknockan Local Landscape Policy Area.

This LLPA lies within and adjoins Ballyknockan Village and is considered to be of greatest amenity value, landscape quality or local significance and should therefore be protected from undesirable or damaging development.

Policy for the control of development in the LLPA is contained in Policy ENV 3 in Part 3, Volume 1 of the Plan.
