A Settlement
Development Limit is designated for Trooperslane as identified on
Map No. 6 - Trooperslane. |
The Settlement Development Limit is
designated to protect the setting of the settlement, prevent unnecessary
urban encroachment into the open countryside, prevent the creation of
additional accesses onto the B90 Protected Route and prevent coalescence
with Carrickfergus. There is some opportunity for limited infill or
rounding off within the Settlement Development Limit.
The Belfast Metropolitan Transport Plan (BMTP) has identified an area
south of Trooperslane as a Park and Ride. This site is within the
Carrickfergus Settlement Development Limit in close proximity to the
railway line and is designated accordingly at CS 14.
