Approach to Adjusted Housing Growth Indicators

Planning Service has become aware of errors in some of the figures in the document regarding its approach to the Adjusted Housing Growth Indicators placed on the web site on 5 January 2007. This is a result of double counting of the housing yield from windfall development. Amendments have been made to the figures and conclusions in the following tables and paragraphs:

  • Last sentence of the first bullet point under paragraph 3.1 (page 5)
  • Table 2 (page 6)
  • Last sentence of eighth bullet point under paragraph 3.1 (page 8)
  • Paragraph 4.4 (page 9)
  • First bullet point under paragraph 6.1 (page 13)
  • First, second and third bullet points under paragraph 8.1 (page 14)
  • Table 4 (page 18)
  • Last sentence of paragraph 12.8 (page 30)
  • Table 10 (page 33)

It is considered the above amendments do not result in any significant changes to the Department’s overall approach to the Adjusted Housing Growth Indicators. An amended document can be accessed using the link below.
